Q: Insurance Question

My son has been seizuring since he was 6 months old. He is now 6.He is mild to moderate mentally impaired. I currently have an hmo. Will my insurance cover his medical costs beyond the age of 18?? I am just thinking about the future. Any help would be greatly appreciated
