Hi. Im 17 and my bf is 19. Im a senior in high school and I just recently found out that im pregnant. We've decided that we wanted to keep the baby, cause im against abortion, but I also want to finish high school. Can I go to the same high school while still being pregnant??? Oh and im not quite sure in how many weeks pregnant I am. My last period was in may, but im pretty sure that I didnt get pregnant till somewhere at the end of june. What how am I suppose to know for sure?? Oh and also, I havent told me parents yet, but im not sure how to tell them ... Should I just let them find out on there own or what??

First, you need to tell your parents. When you go to your first doctors appointment, they should be able to tell you how far along you are. I know most people where I live go to a teen parent program, but we did have someone my sophomore year get pregnant and she stayed in school the whole time. So, I guess it really is up to you? But I don't know.

Congrats and good luck 8)

first off most schools do still alow you to attend them even though you are preg. Very few make you switch to somewhere else.
Have you seen any preg people in your school? If one is allowed then all are allowed.

Secondly you need to get to a doctor asap because their may be a problem such as tubel baby and some others and if a baby is tubel not only can the baby die but so can you. So it is best to make a apointment asap.

Thirdly you and your bf should sit down and tell your parents and explain everything to them such as you want to keep the baby and so on but in some cases if one of your parents is say strict and mean or something or not as understanding and the other is it is best to tell the other one and let them handle telling the not so understand and strict one.

i knew that sex ed would come in sometime in my life. But in school I was always skipping some of my classes just to be with my boyfriend and now I wish that I hadn't. All well I guess.

you can still go to school and be pregnant. My friend did.She graduated in 1998 and had her child in september 1998.Another girl I went to school with was pregnant. She went to school all the way through and her water actually broke in school that's what people had said at the time and that she drove herself to the hosipital. That was back in 1997.

Definitly tell your parents becuase they will react better to you telling them then to them finding out on ther own. Some schools let you continue school, but some schools don't, if thatis the case then there are schools that you cangoto that do allow pregnant girls to attend

Hi my name is nikki and I got pregnant at 15. Im 17 now. At my school you could stay in school untill you were I think 8 1/2 mt.S pregnant. But thier all diffrent, some you can stay in untill the end and some they make you go to a diff. School to help teach you about what your fixing to get in to. And yes you need to tell your parents, they will one way or another help you through this. And again when you go to your doc. He/she will ask you questions and tell you your due date. But you have to tell your parents first! Lol my yahoo messenger is blueflamed_boxers if you ever want to take about any thing! Im here to answer questions! And to be there for others in my situation! Congrats! And good luck!

At my highschool most girls go their complete pregnancy but some become homebound
i don't know if you know what this is or not but it's where you are still enrolled in your high school you just get to sit at home and let the teacher come to you at your house and teach you
alot of girls do it when it gets uncomfortable to walk around and sit for a long time

Here you are allowed to go to school and be pregnant. That is your choice. I'm 17 too and four months pregnant, I chose to go to a school for pregnant and parenting girls though. I love it, the best choice I ever made. The teachers are very understanding, and everyone at the school gets what you are going through, not to mention it's really funny to see all these fat pregnant girls walking around. The added bonus is that my school has a child care centre in it, so when you have your kid you are able to bring it to the shool. I love it. I hope you finish school and don't choose to drop out, because in the long run that isn't going to help you or your baby out. If your city/town has a school like the one I am going too, I advise you to look into it. They usually offer some kind of prenatal or parenting classes, and just provide good resources. Good luck!! And if you need someone who understands what you are going through let me know, you can message me on here.
