All that I really know to tell you, is that you ovulate every 14th day after your period. Within that time, you are more likely to get pregnant. You may also know when your discharge gets more sticky. This is also a sign of ovulation. Good luck. Also, you can get ovulation kits. These kits let you know when you are ovulating. Sorry, I don't know if I was much help. Let us know what happens!

If you don't have a 28 day cycle, you ovulate 14 days before your next period is due. Mucus is very slippery, a lot of it, and it looks like raw egg whites. Hope this helps

The only tricks I can fill you in on are know when your ovulating(usually 12-14 days before you start your peiod) have sex durring this time to increase chances of conception, have sex every other day, after intercourse lie on your back with a pillow under your butt for 20 minutes, doggie style and missionarie are the best positions when trying to concieve, my doctor also told me to start taking prenatal vitamins it gets your body ready so it makes it a little easier. Well this is all I know I hope it helped! Good luck to you
lots of baby dust to you

You could try taking your basal body temperature and recording it on a calendar every day when you wake up. There should be a pattern- when your temp spikes a little then that means you are ovulating. I have also heard that taking robitussin thins out your cervical mucus making it easier for those lil' guys to swim

Actually, when your temperature spikes, it means you have already ovulated...It's the progesterone being produced by the corpus luteum that raises the body temp.... Charting your basal body temp is really only useful to tell if you are ovulating regularly. A better way is to check your cervical mucus. When there is lot of it, and it is like raw egg whites you are about to ovulate. It goes thick and milky after you have ovulated.
Good luck

Hmmmmm
Thank you for the correction about the basal body temp- I guess I was misinformed. So if your temp spikes how long before did you ovulate? Or does it vary? Just wondering

I believe the temp spikes about 24-48 hours after you have ovulated...So egg wouldn't be viable anymore.

My Dr. Told me to forget the whole basal temp thing. He said "save your sanity, splurge and spend a few extra bucks on a ovulation test kit."

i bought like, 30 of them online. They were about 30 cents a piece. Plus I got free shipping. *i sound like an advertisement, lol*

anyway, knowing when you ovulate is good and all. But timing is a bugger. Everyone has a different opinion of when is a good time to start trying, how much sex you should have, etc etc.

But i'm in the same boat, so good luck!
