I have had this bad metalic taste in my mouth also. I too would like to know what it is. i was afraid it might be from leaking fillings. I have bad teeth. Hope we get some ideas on here.

Bad fillings will definitely do that. I periodically have a terrible taste in my mouth but it seems to go away after the dentists repair the problems.

Do you floss regularly?
Do you use mouthwash?

Sometimes the bad taste in my mouth comes from eating certain types of foods - meat, garlic, etc.

Hope that helps

I developed the same thing after taking antibiotics and steroids, it turned out to be Thrush in my Throat and food pipe and also effected my stomach, it took weeks for the Doc to clear the Thrush and i still had the sicky feeling in my Throat, so Doc gave me Anti acid Tabs and thank goodness they have cleared the problem and i can take them every other day now instead of daily, so have another wrod with your Doc, good luck Caz
