Hi, do not have breast cancer, but I can tell you thru a cerebral anuresym 5 years ago, and malignant melanoma 4 years ago, that yes believing in god has helped me thru this. Not only do I believe and feel the spirit, and I have the mouth of a sailor, but I am no longer afraid of anything, because I know.........When its all said and done, I am going home! Once a person gets that close to death, knowing this could be the end, you kinda come to terms with reality. I started talking to the lord on my own. And I just knew he was with me all along. I can't explain this feeling. I guess you just have to experience this on your own. I would be happy to talk with you if you care to discuss this on private message. Not sure if this was even what you meant, but it does get you thru the rough times and makes you "wake-up" reality check......Makes one appreciate life and all it has to offer!
