My gyno said that if my blood test comes back negative for pregnancy then they are testing me for pcos... What is it? All I know is that it can make it very hard if not impossiable to get pregnant....

Pcos is also know as polycystic ovarian syndrome. It does make it hard to conceive, but not impossible. If it comes back that they do diagnose you with pcos, ask your doc about metformin. It's a medication that seems quite effective in bringing on ovulation in women with pcos. Hope this helps. Good luck

Pcos is alot of cysts on your ovaries. It has an effect on your testosterone levels and can cause many different symptoms including abnormal hair growth on belly and places you dont want it. Weight gain or the inablilty to loose weight because it also effects how our bodies use sugar. It confuses the ovaries and can cause you to miss periods for a length of time so it makes it harder to concieve. I have 2 boys 10 & 4 but was only diagnosed last year. Metformin is a diabetic drug that has proven to help us concieve and loose weight. So good luck. I also have been trying for 2 years to get pregnant and havent. :( good luck
