Cramping during early pregnancy is normal because everything is stretching. It's when its really painful or when you start to bleed that you should get to the doctor asap. As for sex, as long as your doctor doesn't say you shouldn't then its okay. If you're concerned ask him/her. And if you find it uncomfortable or painful then stop. But as for it hurting the baby, it won't.

I don't think having sex could cause a miscarriage. If you're that concerned i'd talk to you doctor so he/she can reassure you.

Sex During Pregnancy
As a mother of 6 children and number 7 on the way, I can honestly say that unless your dr tells you NOT to have sex, than you can continue to have sex until your water breaks. It may also be helpful at the end of your pregnancy to get things moving. Just make sure you don't have any reason not to have sex and go for it if you want too. Sex does not cause miscarriages. Miscarriages are often caused due to a problem with the pregnancy itself rather than a physical issue with the woman.
