Greetings.
I a cadet at the napa valley police academy in napa, ca. Part of the academy is a research paper on different groups of people in our community, focusing on how the police could do a better job to serve them. Our topics include race, nationality, religion, medical, ect.
For my project I wanted to focus on the people with schizoprenia. Thats why im here. Im looking for some people to donate a few minutes of their time and answer a few questions for me. The questions are below. If you would be so kinda as to post your answers, or even better email them to me , it would be greatly appreciated.
How do you personally feel about local law enforcement in your area?
What do you think is the general view of law enforcement when interacting with people who have schizophrenia
what are a few things law enforcement should know when interacting with someone who has schizophrenia
what is the most important thing law enforcement can do, to better serve you and other people who have schizophrenia
please tell me about any positive or negative encounters you have had with local law enforcement (if any)?
Is there any thing a peace officer should or shouldn't do during contact?
Do you have any questions to ask us about anything that you are concerned about?
Anything else you would like to tell me about the topic?
Once again thank you so much for your time. I really appreciate it.
