Q: Did Anyone Else Hear This?

I am exactly 11 weeks today. I went for an ultrasound last tuesday at 10w and 1d. The ultrasound tech told me that once a strong heartbeat is established, the chances of miscarriage drop to about 3% as opposed to the normal 20% they talk about in the first trimester. Has anyone else heard this statistic? I would really like to believe it. My baby's heartbeat was at 167bpm. If this is true though, why do they say that chances of miscarriage are high until the end of the first trimester?

Also, I was outside at a football game this past saturday. It was about 80 degrees outside and we were sitting on metal benches for about 4 hours. We were sitting directly in the sun so I made sure I was wearing a hat and made sure to get up and walk around every hour to get out of the sun. As we were leaving the game, it literally felt like I had pee'd my pants. My pants (between my legs) were completely soaked. By nature I usually sweat a lot and we were sitting on metal benches but I just want to make sure that no one has ever heard of the amniotic sac bursting at this stage of the pregnancy. I am soooo worried I may have harmed the baby for a stupid football game.

Please let me know.

Hey girl dont worry I sweat like that too when I have been out in the sun or sitting anywhere for a long period of time. Not to be personal but that is a very hot space down there anyway any you may sweat more down there for that reason alone.
