Hello
i have just joined this forum and would like help with my first medical question please.

I am, I would say a 'headachey person' having suffered with migraine for many years.

Just recently , I would say in the past 6-8 weeks, I have been getting a different kind of headache, I will try to explain.

I have a pain behind my right ear that goes up the back of my head, it doesent feel 'inside' my head like a migraine, more just under the skin. Most of the time it is an ache but at times its a 'shooting' pain like an electric shock and I get what I can only describe as a stinging feeling on my forehead above my right eye, also a pulsing feeling at the back of my nose. This pain is with me all the time in one or other of the forms I have described

i have seen my Dr. And was given antidepressents which just made me feel 'out of it' all day so I don't take them .

I have made another appointment to see her again next week, as I am beginning to get worried as to what it might be.

I have joined this forum to get another opinion, and so hope you can help me.

Mary

I saw your message and I have signed up as I am suffering the same thing. I don't have a history of headaches, I never suffered as a child or a teenager, but I have everything that you've described, and also a dull lulling headache. My gp tried me on anti depressants, and then on anti epilepsy drugs, and then on stronger anti-d's but nothing worked and I am off to see a neurologist soon with any luck.

Let us know how it goes.

I hope this helped a little
