Q: Dry Patches On Hand

I have been getting dry patches on my hands for years now. It looks like a blister, but no fluid under it. I can just pick it off. There is no itching or pain associated with these patches. The edges around the area dry out. It seems that after a couple weeks it goes completely away and then it will return in a month or so. I've tried steroid creams, otc creams, etc. With not help. Does anyone know what this is called? I wonder if its a vitamin deficiency or bacteria? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
chris
