My mum brought me and my 5 siblings up on her own since I was 3. One of my siblings is younger the rest are older. Since the youngest of us 6 was born my mum became diabetic. She is 41 now. When I was about 15 her diabetes got worse than usual. She had hypos most days and it was up to us to care for her. We taught ourselves what to do. She was in hospital most months she nearly died once. We were scared because we didn't know what would happen to us with not having family around. I'm 19 now and all of us have our own familys. Last nov mum went in hospital with a stomach bug. She was sick everyday and was in hospital for 3 weeks. Since she came out last nov my mums diabetes has been really bad. Her diabetic nurse doesn't see her often and we dont know what can be done. Over the last 3 months she has had hypo's most days. She lives on her own and we are all scared about if one day one of us finds her dead. There is no help for us. What can we do? My mum needs her own independantsy but what can be done?
