Q: Yasmin + Antibiotics

I take birth control pills (yasmin) but I was recently sick and the doctor is having me take antibiotics (penicilin). I know that antibiotics can make bc pills not work correctly. My period should be due in about 2 weeks. Since im worried about the chance of me being pregnant, will continuing taking my bc pills & antibiotics have any effect or cause any harm to the fetus?
