Q: Husbands Swollen Tonsil

My husband feels like he always has something blocked in his throat...Like food etc. He had 3 xrays...One scope done...Then he had an exploritory surgery done. Nothing showed up...His right tonsil was a little swollen but the surgeon didn't have a concern there. They did do a biopsy...Not sure I like that word to much...But I guess it's just a procedure. Has anyone had this similar problem before? Help!

Same Problem.
Dear mizzlizz,

greetings from a fellow canuck in the u.S! I have been experiencing the same problem for 2 and 1/2 months now. My left tonsil is 2x the size of my right one. Did 3 negative strep tests.

I have had this for a while but whenever I swallow something, I feel a lump in my throat. Last night I swallowed a multivitamin pill and felt it in my throat throughout the day. Just swallowed a penicillin pill and it felt as though it is stuck there - even had the feeling it "turned". Oftentimes, when I belch now, I can taste food at the base of my tongue!! Maybe this is reflux?

Other times, when I swallow a multivitamin pill it would get stuck in my throat and would hurt bad when I speak. I noticed that when I don't take pills, I feel better, but apparently the doctor prescribed the pills for he thinks this is due to an infection.
