Q: Orange/brown Nose Discharge, Ear Pain After Ocean Swim

I swam in the ocean for the first time and got a lot of water in my ears and nose. Four days later I am having ear pain and a orange/brown fluid discharging from my nose mainly when I bend down.

Can anyone give some advise? Is this an sinus/inner-ear infection or something more worse? I'm a bit nervious about this being cerebral fluid but I have no reason to believe it would be.

Extremely eHealthy
I think you should go to the dr asap. Doesnt sound right. Brown may be old blood. I dont know about the orange. I think yoou should def go in right away. While you have the symptoms.

Update-
I rested a bit on saturday and by sunday I was feelig much better. I had no more discharge after the 4 to 6 times it happen on friday. I am guessing the salt water dried out my nose and caused some bleeding (i had blood when I blew my nose). I also had a runny nose and that made the snot/blood mix look orange/brown. I do have a bit of a headache and have some poping in my right ear. This make be believe it was/is a sinus infection. I may make an appointment with my doc if my headache doesn't go away by tomorrow.

sounds like me
i had a root canal today, and right after i had one of my college class', i was very tired, so i put my head down, and all of a sudden my nose started running, i didnt no what color it was because i was wiping it on my black sleeve... but it was quite a bit. then on break, i wanted to see if it would do it again, so i had a tissue this time and put my head down and it was like 6 drops of "tea" colored fluid... very odd, it stopped about an hour ago, im going to see if it does it anymore tonight
