Okay This all started when I went to visit my cousin at his house. I passed out on his couch and the next day I had this bump on my lower back (right around where your belt goes) It grew huge. I popped it then it started spreading all over my butt. The thing hurt like NO OTHER, I couldnt sit or anything. As for the big one its gone due to putting some kind of ointment my mom had, butit left a Red hickey kind of mark. Now im getting all these little ones and the more they grow they will hurt really bad if sat on. I HATE TO THINK ITS HERPES, IF IT IS FML!!!I hate it because I feel i should get it checked out but am afraid of the news. I keep sittin on these toilets and hope no one else catches them. As of of right now none of my roommates have caught it or else im sure I would of heard something. I also made love to my girlfriend and she's never said anything growing on her. The funny thing it was ONE HUGE kind of Cyst looking thing at first. NOW IT SPREAD ALL OVER MY butt and im so embarrassed, especially when your girlfriend is hot and wants to make love. It ruins even my motivation to have sex, or get nude. They were going away while i applied neosporin. I need to go to the doctor, I know they're not herpes, they better not be or I will shoot myself!

me too!
about 3 weeks ago i started getting these small red bug bite looking spots all over my butt and upper thighs, they itch so bad it's hard to sleep or go to work.
i've been living in the same place for a few months before this started and same job for about a year now. i'm 26 and never had this before. i can't help but itch and they are not going away! and i ITCH! maybe a doctor visit is in my near future.
2 out of the 3 people living here have it. my roommates wen't away finally but i still have them, i don't lead a stressed life at all. we've checked for bedbugs and fleas, no signs what so ever of either. after the couple posts about skin herpes it makes sence. don't worry though, there are many kinds of herpes, the std just gives them all a bad rap. almost everyone has 1 form of herpes or another. maybe it's finally time to give up and go see a doc Sad

Red, raised, itchy, large, Re-occuring bumps on my butt.
Ive got the same thing red raised large red itchy re-occuring bumps. I thought they were giant hives or bug bites. But there only on my butt and only on the lower cheeks. My mother popped a very painful one and made a horrid sound when she saw wat had come out. I will get one and it will go away in a day or two. Sometimes i get more than 1 they will be on the same cheek. I havnt had one for over a week mayb 2 and i got one tonite. Ive noticed i get one when i start to wear regular full coverage underwear. My grandmother is allergic to underwear and demin she no longer wears underwear nd hasnt for many years she thinks it could be an allergy to something my underwear is made out of. If they didnt itch and wearnt so raised i wouldnt care. Trying to itch ur butt cheek in public isnt fun.

I have the same problem. It started after me and my husband got together 3 years ago. The bumps are on both of my butt cheeks, they don't have anything come out of them, they won't go away at all, if I do pick at them they just start bleeding and then turn into a sore. My husband has never been checked for anything but I have at least three times since we have been together and its always came up negative for everything. I also had my gynecologist look at them, she told me that they would go away not telling me what they were or anything. Someone please help me find out what this is, My Bottom is so scared up that I won't even let my husband see it.

Dermatitis Herpetiformis
I read all of these posts and I can relate!! I have been suffering but I found the answer though I am not sure if many of you ever have. It is pretty common. It is associated with Gluten Intolerance and can be a sign of intestinal and thyroid problems. It is chronic which means it can come and go. The good news... get tested for gluten intolerance, get your intestines looked at and tell your doctor your symptons match the symptoms for Dermatitis herpetiformis. There is an antibiotic that helps and with less consumption of gluten, you may get it under control. Please get your intestines checked because if you have this there is an increased risk for cancer. It usually comes on out of nowhere from 20-30 years old male and female. It is NOT herpes, the name comes from how the blisters resemble herpes. Google it and you will see if this is what you have. Hope I helped!!

Nope, not everyone can claim Dermatitis Herpetiformis
All my research led me to the same discovery...dermatitis herpetiformis...but after being put to sleep and having a scope camera shoved down my throat to get a biopsy of my intestine to check for Gluten intolerance...it came back with no sign of me having that problem. I have had this horribly itchy rash on my lower butt cheeks for almost 2 years. I have gone to the dermatologist...nothing came from that. I asked my OB-GYN, nothing came from that, my family doctor said it was a form of fungus and prescribed a pill (an anti fungal) to take, but I have not had relief from it. It is VERY painful and the best description I saw on this line of posts was where the author described it as a very deep deep itch. Whatever it is feels like it is sitting dormant waiting for something to piss it off so it can swell up to a large lump, then a clear fluid filled blister. It is so painful and so irritating. The doctor even prescribed me a steroid cream, but I read that it the cream can scar the body. I already have scars from this itchy crap...so I don't want more scars! Sorry I can't help with an answer, but I do know that the answer is not as simple as a gluton intolerance. Sorry.

itchy bumps on buttocks
I got all that before and I'm having that same problem again and it was Impentigo (I think thats how you spell it)and they gave me a cream and antibiotics to take because its a bacterial infection. The doctor said don't itch it or peel the scab that forms off because thats why they get bigger and come back. Hope this helps!

Ok I had this same problem was scared from what people said about herpes got it checked out by the doctor. Asked if I shave I said yes. The bumps were caused from shaving hair getting trapped under the skin and getting infected

Big sore spot/blisters on bottom
Hiya I went to the doc today & he said it was Herpes. Skin Herpes!! Like a shingle, chicken pox type thing or cold sore type thing.
He gave me a cream & a course of anti viral tablets to take. He said it may help to control it but it may be something that I just have to live with. Ita a nerve that comes under attack & then becomes weak so will always come up in the same place?
Hope this helps

Last November I had a bad case of eczema which included the itchy bumps onn my butt. They wouldn't go away and the temptation to scratch them only brought them to the surface again. I went to the Dr's who was no more help than giving me some anti-biotics which only made my legs swell. After searching around on the internet I found the answer with Apple Cider Vinegar and take it three times daily in a glass of water. Over the last month the bumps have almost disappeared and even the scars are fading.

Itchy Red Bumps possable answer?
I've had the same problem, only it's a cluster of itchy bumps on my lower buttocks/upper thighs. However, they seem to go away when I leave the house for a few days. I'm not sure if it's my bed, or possibly the toilet seat, but I'd like to get rid of them. I'll try changing my sheets/pillow cases/blankets and see if that works, and I'll also try using a different bathroom with a different seat. I'll post my results in a few days.

Very Bothersome
I have the same problem. Im experiencing it as we speak!! I have 6 huge, red, very painful bumps on my butt that hurt like no other and itch like crazy. They come to a small head but thats nothing compared to the size of them. It hurts to sit. To be honest, Ive tried to lance them but it seems that their is nothing to drain. Ive been getting them for years now and they only appear on my butt. The only thing that helps for me is going to the tanning bed since that dries out your skin. Ive tried numerous creams and antibiotics but none of them work. All I can do is wait for them to just go away which seems to take forever!! (Usually about 3 weeks to a month) If any of you find out what it is and how to get rid of it please share your blessing!!

Hi sooembarressed and welcome to ehealth: One of the best ways to heal them is to put warm to hot water on them a couple of times a day...Use a wash rag and keep it warm...When they open up put a bandage or gauze over them...Keep them clean...Take care..

Using anti biotics, cream would not work, because those products are moist which would only cause your fungus ,and bacterial to grow, and infest more into your pores/skin. You have Two options to fix this problem(1) Powder get it at your local 99 cents store, Or get Gold Bond at Rite Aid Walgreens. And Two change all your toilet seats in your homes with WOODEN SEATS. Wooden toilet seats, does not cause mi,drew, moisture, wet texture like the Acrylic, and plastic seats do. Acrylic ,and plastic are the worse toilet seats to have in your homes. They are more prone to developing bacteria from others who sit onto them. Try those Two things and I promise you. You wouldn't have any future problem with your bumpy, itchy heat rash between your butt crack. I used to have the same problem, but figured out the cure on my own without having to blow endless cash on Doctors ,Nuerologist,Uncologist, and every other logist in the Country to diagnosis the problem. Never again!

I have had Itchy, Painful, Clear Liquid Filled Bumps on my left buttcheek same spot that comes and goes for over a year now, The overall size is no bigger than a quarter. I know when they are going to appear because I have a tingleing pain in that area the day before then the swollen bumps appear with a very irrratating itch the bumps fill with a clear liquid and breaks open.

Once that happens usaly one to two days the pain and itch subside leaveing a scab then scar.

Within the year the family of bumps have appeared in two other areas, The top of my butt crease in the center and another two inches lower starting at the crease going toward the left cheeck.

It seems to be when one goes away another starts the longest I have gone in the last year is a mounth with no symptoms

I use Aveeno Anti-Itch Concentrated on the itchy bumps, Then when they burst I clean the area very well with alcohol 3 or more times a day until it forms a scab I still use the aveeno till the scab falls off.

I hope this was helpful, if your like me its not the answer we are desperly looking for !! We all want the crue.

Until today I felt alone and maybe a little upset that this annoying , fustrating, unatractive thing was happening to me.

If any of you come across the crue please let me know as far as the skin herpes I have researched this my location and appearance is not two of the same.

Itchy bumps
I've had exactly the same for 20 years. Mine occur close to my cycle starting and years ago when I was pregnant the OBGYN scraped the quarter sized clusters and sent them to the lab, they found nothing Sad I use a sterile callus remover, the kind you scrub your feet with, the minute the bumps appear with fluid.. That opens them up and I can clean it with antiseptic and put a bandaid on. Once the fluid is out the itch stops in a few hours and they start healing. My doctor said "whatever works" as long a's what you use is clean and sterile.

To 123canuhelpme, I'm sorry this response is so late, but I know exactly what you are going through and what you have is Herpes. The tingling sensation you get before an outbreak is called a prodrome. Before the sore breaks open, you should have a doctor swab the fluid inside to test for herpes, or you can have a blood test done. Once you have your diagnosis, you can discuss treatment options with your doctor. Unfortunately, it cannot be cured, but treatment can help. Also, make sure you clean your hands thoroughly after you touch the sores because you can spread the outbreak to another area on your body.

This is what my dermatologist suggested...that it's Herpes. I use to tan alot in tanning beds and this is how I contracted them, from the tanning beds. This is like an outbreak, because so many people that I know have the same thing. He did prescribe me Valtrex and told me to take two when i felt them start to tingle and come out. That does prevent them from coming out full blown but the medicine is extremely expensive. So, if anyone else takes another kind of medicine...please post. Thanks and good luck everyone. BTW: stay out of tanning beds b/c they are disgusting.
