Q: Reduced Blood Flow?

Hey,

i posted a while back about a recent loss of sexual desire. I had been given advice that it was probably stress. I found this to be true, and have been feeling better lately. However, I still seem to have a problem. I have a hard time getting an erection now. My penis is for the majority of the time, shriveled and feels a bit numb. I can feel when I touch it, but it's not the same as before. I'm wondering if it's reduced blood flow to my penis, or if it's something else. As I stated in the other post, i'm 19, have always had a high sex drive/random erections, and i've smoked marijuana for less than a year now, but have stopped recently. The marijuana hightened the sexual experience all the time. Maybe now that i'm off it, my body is temporarily adjusting??? I have no clue. I can still get an erection and orgasm, but it takes quite some time. I haven't gotten a random erection yet, but I do wake up in the middle of the night with one sometimes. Any help/info would be greatly appreciated.

that is possible, it might also be that you got use to the way it was when you were smoking, and without smoking, its extremely different. As I understand, use of marijuana and the similar can cause such problems and with use can somewhat desensitize the penis. Some lasting only a short time, some lasting longer. If you only smoked for a short time, hopefully your body will work its way through it.

Same thing!
I have the same problem!!! why isnt anyone helping urologists, doctors, no one knows!? only i smoked marijuana for 9 years, and the last 4 years of those i started having that problem.. now i decided to quit smoking.. its been going on for about 2 weeks..i still get the same thing.. the feeling in my penis is less.. i am sensitive now but in a different way.. before i was sensitive that whenever i feel it rubbing on my jeans i could easily get it up.. now.. its soo hard to keep it up without touching it. i have to keep holding it to keep it hard..a friend of my dads had low blood flow to his legs that they cut one off, but that was from diabetes. recently he went to check why he had purple toes on the other leg, the doctor ran some ultraviolet tests and found out woulds in the veins.. could that be similar? i do not have diabetes, but could it be a blood flow problem? All the doctors told me its psychological and that i should talk to a councelor thinking its because of my failed 3 year relationship - verbal abuse and some physical from a crazy latina Razz. but i wanna be normal again!!! i used to be a horse could lift the girl in the air with my errection alone! Sad... we need to make a community so that ppl can help us or something!

follow up
Guys, I went to a psychiatrist today and told him about this... he put this subject aside and started asking me about myself.. after 45 mins of talking he gave a diagnosis which was: Obsessive thought. and prescribed 3 medicines, one of which i'm not going to take because i hate xanax - he said its for a better longer sleep. the rest have to do with reducing the obsessive thinking process, and the other for decreased anxiety. I cant read his hand writing to tell you what they are, but once i find out i will let you know. I'm against the idea of psychological medicine however he told me to trust him that i would get back to normal and even better. I dunno if this helps, but i would also like your thoughts on this.. i havent bought the medicines yet i'm still debating whether i should or not..

Same
I have the same problem. Smoked for a few months and now this. I quit smoking and not sure what to do. I'm 21 and cant wait to figure out how to fix this. I as well have been to urologists and dermatologists etc. Nothing has worked. I think a lot as well but I thought thats just how I am. Let me know if anything works for you guys so we can get over this garbage. Another symptom I have is a tingling/burning sensation constantly. It never goes away. STD and disease free. Something needs to work...
