They say when your contractions are 4 min apart is when to go to the hospital and I read in my book most waters break during active labor. If this is ur 1st baby like me labor may take a long time trust me! At 34 wks I went to the hospital with contractions they sent me home and I went last weekend and they sent me home and I was dilated 2 cm which ive been this way for a week or so. Im looking at being induced but the postive thing is that we both are not over due yet I will be if I don't have my baby by tommorow. They say walking helps, playing with ur nipples, sex, rasberry leaf tea, female oragam. Ive tried sex at 36 wks nothing happend and ive walked my ass off and nothing happend ive also heard spicy food helps but it did not for me. I guess really you will have the baby when the time is ready and when ur a week or 2 overdue is when they will induce you. The last few weeks are the hardest b/c all you can think about is the baby and how bad u want to see her. Thats how I feel. But they say enjoy it b/c they keep u up all night .Im up all night with my legs killing me! Do you have that too?? I have horrible leg pain at night. Good luck

I had this same issue with my second daughter. Unfortunately no one really listened when I told them about it. It started happening again with my third pregnancy and I saught help from a different midwife. She made the sugestion to take one bendadryl and two tylenol everytime I lay down to sleep. This has helped me to relax and get some rest when those pains are achy enought to keep me up. This has helped for me. It won't make labor come faster but at least you can get your needed rest at this time. You will need to be rested for delivery. I know it is frustrating to hear you are dialated and nothing is happening. Just remember your baby isn't quite ready. When she is you will be in labor.
