Ok so if you have read my other post I was deciding between ortho and yasmine, my neice had ortho and said it works the best, and someone else when they responded to an earlier post about this. Now I have 3 questions about the new pill I am on.

1-the first color of pills is white, is that really a sugar pill or is it a normal birth control pill? Someone told me it was a sugar pill and that got me confused.

2-how long until the pill is in my system? The pill I was taking before this one is still in my system, so I at least have a small form of birth control in me already, but I want to know when it is going to be affective. {i am on the third day}

-and-

3-today I was getting dizzy and felt really sick as if I had to throw up, I had a small headache and couldnt sit or stand up, or eat or drink. I felt really warm and really cold at different times, is this from that pill, even though I have only been on it for three days?
I am thinking it could be something else out of my lack of sleep {although this has never happened before when I lost sleep} or the fact that I have some sort of bite on my body. {people are saying its probably a spider bite or from something I ate.}

any help is appreciated.

The green ones are sugar pills not the white ones. It generally takes 7 days to become effective if taken correctly. The dizziness and things u are experiencing could in fact be from the pill, some pills when u first start them can cause a few side effects. If they do not go away then I would talk to your doctor. :d

Tro Cyclin Lo
I just started taking tri cyclin lo, and found some information on the cosmopolitan web site that said that you wouldn't get pregnent if you had been taking the pill for seven days and had sex..... I was just wondering if anyone knows if this is true.

This is true, the pill needs to be taken for 7 days, then you are fully protected.

Do consider that while nothing is 100%, taking the pill correctly is 99% =)

When I first started ortho low I got really sick on the first day and threw up, and increasingly became sick at night. I was on it for 3 months and it made me have headaches and feel horrible at night. Since then I have switched, but give it a few more days and see if you are adjusting. If not, call your doctor and discuss it. =).
