Hello all.

My gf has been on birth control for about 9-10 months... At month 8-9 she switched over to the patch... And eventually close to month 9-10 she stopped birth control all together because it was making her feel really bad. So we agreed that she would stop and see if her problems would persist (ie. Headaches, nausea, etc.).

She stopped her birth control with 1 week left until she'd get her period but instead 2 days after she stopped, she got her period immediately. She's due for her next period this week her last period was on haloween. My question is will she be receiving an on-time normal period? Or is there a chance for a missed period? And we've been having semi-protected sex... At first i'd just put myself in her (sex for 3 minutes unprotected) and then put on the condom and finish it off.

I've read some articles that say that the chances of pregnancy are the same as usual as soon as she gets off birth control and i've also read that it takes 3-4 months for the body to get out of an "infertility" stage. So which is true? And what are the typical early signs of pregnancy (symptoms) and when do they show up relative to weeks in time? I've been really stressed lately and want to know what everyone thinks...

Thank you

vjolt

The headaches and nausea are side affects to the patch. Everyone got them. Even I did. When her period came a little early, that was fine. This time it might be late because she doesnt have the birth control to regulate her period anymore. Since this post is a little old, has she been ok?
