Panic Attacks Ive Blacked Out Twice And Im 20 Posted: 09-08-05 14:10pm
:( I was just diagonosed a year ago with
panic attacks by my md,and at first I
thought it was funny because I didnt
believe him.I always thought that panic
attacks were when people with paper bags
sat around, but then after ive been reading
what other people have said there symptoms
were it was'nt so diffrent from mine. I
went to the hospital for chest pains one
year and I had a really bad cold were I
got bronchitus but I havent had it
since. The first time I got one I was at my
in laws house watching tv when suddenly I
got really dizzy and had the urge to get
up and get fresh air. When I walked outside
I got so dizzy I fell and landed on my
ass.It freaked me out b/c I dint know why
I got so dizzy, then it hit me like a ton
of bricks it felt like someone was taking
a pillow and holding it over my face I
couldnt breat for nothing, which scared me
to death I started freaking out screaming
that I was going to die and my husband was
like calm down but I couldnt I ended up
passing out like 2 times, but like 10 mins
later I was fine and a little wore out
from it all.It took almost 2 years for it
to happen again and I was at a friends
house talking on the coucha nd it started
coming on again I was like oh-no and sure
enough I blacked out again when I went
outside for air. From then on I havent
blacked out again but I have had dizzy
spells here and then and I cant breathe
that great like I use to but to all of you
best of luck I ake anti depresser pills
and try to breath.Does anybody know what
cbt means write back thanks

Hi there! Cbt means cognitive behavioral
therapy, there is a lot of information on
the internet, or call your local hospital
as their are generally groups in your
area, or mental health in your area and
please, do not take me the wrong way, I am
not trying to say you are crazy, it is
just that we all need a little help some
times in our lives and it is better then
falling down and breaking a hip or
whatever.
