Hi,

i had surgery for a herniated disk at the l4-l5 level 4 weeks ago and am still having back and leg pain. My doctor put me back on oral steroids, which helped for the week I was taking them, but as soon as I quit taking the pills, the pain came back. I am suppose to start pt in a couple week, but am afraid that will make it worse.

Am I expecting too much too soon after surgery. I thought after the surgery the leg pain was suppose to be gone.

I hear of people having to have the surgery a second time. Which I really don't want to do.

Has any one had disk replacement or heard anything about it?

Hi trumanpocket ~

what kind of surgery did you have? Was it a discectomy? I have a lot of information about adr. What are you looking for? I see you are from madison. Is the wi? If so I am also from wi but farther south of madison.

Hello
I had a lumbar decompression 4 days ago and I am experiencing burning buttocks and numbness in the left thigh. What type medications are you taking. I am told by Doc that it is because I had a left bad disk replaced.
