Plz Help Urgent Advice For After Tonsillectomy Problem Posted: 09-08-05 08:24am
Hello I have a problem I had tonsilectomy
5 weeks ago which I must say ill never go
through that pain again and ended up
paying $3,000 I dnt recommened this to
anyone who has to get it done, but anyway
thast not the point last night I got sick
from food and tried to through up and ive
never had problems with spewing before but
when I did last night the vomite came out
through my nose and not my mouth should I
be worried is this a problem and also when
I gargle with mouth wash the motuh wash
comes out trhough my nsoe aswell its like
the docotr opened up my aireway or
something can any one help if this is
normal???

This is only my opinion, but I got my
tonsil's taken out when I was 11, and I
dont ever remember having any problem like
that. You said 5 weeks ago, I honestly
think you should go back to your doctor
and get checked. I really dont remember
anything like that happening to me. I
couldn't eat for about 5 weeks, but I
never had anything come out my nose. :(

Hello thanks for your reply well its been
six weeks now and nothigns changed my
throat has healed I can eat solids
everything I actually healed in 2weeks
but I dnt know why the food goes through
my nose I went to one of my famly docs
yesterday becoz my other doctor who did it
im going next week so I couldnt wait and
my doctor said its normall but I dnt
understand it keeps happening I drink
water half goes in my nose I ate an apple
before and abit went up my nose and I
choked on it its really making me sick I
think I was better off with tonsillitis
then having this problem.... Its
confusing me coz I dnt think its normal
coz my mother had tonsillectomy too 20
years ago and never had my problem . Ill
just wate to see what nmy doc says

I had my tonsils out 7 days ago. Worst
thing is taking the painkillers on time
during the night etc when ur tired. When
u forget or are asleep and wake up the
pain is a 1000s worse than usual . I
vomited shortly after the tonsolectomy
because of the blood from the op going
into my stomach and the morphine for the
pain. But when I vomited nothing came
thru my nose or anywhere near that airway.
Doesnt sound right to me and any doctor
that sais its normal I wouldnt beleive and
push for a 2nd opinion or to be referred
to a consultant. These people have to be
pushed and repeatatly communicated with to
take you serious so if u really want to
get it investigated then dont take no for
an answer and dont let time go by
especially since you do not know yourself
whats happening with your own body.

Hi thanks for ur reply, wasnt the pain
unberable I cryd for 8 days straight at
3am becoz the pain killers would ware off
and it was hurting just like u said 1000
times more, I went around the world to
search for strong pain killers that came
in small capsule size coz it was hard to
swallow, thank god I had my mother to help
me but I wuldnt suggest anyone go through
it lol not worth it but I will try tell
the doc who did it becoz ive got a cold
now the flu and when my nose is runny it
goes in my mouth instead of out my nose, I
get bad luck I think coz I really wanted
it dne evryhting went rong from hemoroid
after surgery that opened up to this. But
ill try see another doc

I must say my tonsillectomy was too bad ya
right its a complete nightmare I had mine
out four months ago and ever since i've
been having pains in my abdominal area 1st
they said gastritis then costachondritis
now after multiple scans and blood work
they say its in my head how in gods name
could I possible fake my pale face when
i'm in terrible pain finally I decided to
get homeopathy advice I had acupucture
this made me feel a bit better but now I
have'nt had it in a while and im getting
really sick again plz someone anyone plz
if you have any ideas of what this is plz
plz I beg u to tell me!
