Hello I am a 44 male. For about a year now I have bad pressure in my upper stomach below my chest. Very bad gas pains always feeling sick.

All my problems started about a year ago after I was eating alot of sucking candy balls. Lol I was eating about 14 hard candy balls a day the doctor told me to do this because I had a small stone in my gland forgot the name but the gland in your neck. Well the stone passed but ever since this my whole life has changed. I had the camera tube put down my throat doctor says every thing is fine. Had the other test the camera put in the other end. Lol colon test. Everything is fine. I had a cat scan I have several small gallstones. 2 gastro doctors and one other doctor says the gall stones wont cause my problems. 2 other doctors and one surgeon say the gall stones will cause all your problems and your gall bladder has to come out. What to do. I have been on protonix made me worst zatac pepic all dont help. I tried every kind of diet nothin helps. I am getting to the point in my life I wish I could just go to sleep and never wake up. I dont know what to do.

C'mon...Don't be so pessimistic..." I am getting to the point in my life I wish I could just go to sleep and never wake up"...I realize your problem is serious, but you shouldn't. Think like this...It's not the end of the world.

There is one thing I don't understand. If you are feeling so bad and nothing seems to work why don't you have the surgery done and the gallbladder removed? This should solve your problems. Anyway, the operation is extremely simple...It's a routine operation so you needn't worry about it.

However, I should tell you that stones can do a lot of damage. I don't understand why some doctors told you that they won't cause you any problems. As far as I know, gallbladder stones can lead to chronic inflammation of the gallbladder, irritation if the mucosa which lasts for a long time is most likely to lead to cancer. Furthermore, if the stones are small than there's a high chance that they move forward and leave the gallbladder. If they do they may obstruct the common bile duct, thus leading to jaundice. If the stone makes it to the duodenum or colon it may cause biliary ileus. If it remains stuck in vater's ampulla it may lead to haemorrhagic destruction of the pancreas.

So, as you can see, there are a lot of problems these stones can cause you, apart from the fact that you are feeling so sick. If I were to give my opinion, I would say take the gallbladder out.

Good luck!

[thanks for replying. But 4 doctors say from looking at my mri scans
my gall stones are small not blocking any ducts. My gall bladder is of normal size. The 4 doctors say my gall bladder is not the problem and taking it out will not help me at all. But then 4 other doctors one is a surgeon says my gall bladder is the problem. I am affraid to have my gall bladder removed and still have all my problems and then have some new ones. Maybe I should just flip a coin. Heads take it out tales I dont.

Yes, I understand that some doctors said don't do it... And others said do it...Unfortunately, I told you that the stones being small there is a high chance they will leave the gallbladder at some point and then you will have serious problems...That's why some recommended surgery.

As for your feeling sick and all I don't think anyone can tell for sure what it is. You are having "bad gas pains" and feeling sick and that could be related to the gallbladder...But nothing is for sure unfortunately.

And yes, there is a chance that these symptoms will not go away after surgery but do the surgery because of the stones and the risk they represent. And if afterwards there is no improvement in how you feel than you should have another set of tests done. Somehow you will get to the bottom of this.

And by the way....Maybe flipping a coin is not such a bad idea after all... :) let me know who won: heads or tales?

Gallbladder Or Not?
I have your symptons exactly. Pressure upper abdomen, nausea, gas etc. I have had all the tests which have showed nothing. I am convinced it is my gb but the dr's haven't even considered it because of the test results. I have been feeling this way for almost 5 years. I would really like to know what happens should you have the surgery.
Good luck

Gallbladder Or Not?
No, my tests did not show anything. I was told by a surgeon many years ago that I had a "sluggish" gallbladder, whatever that means.
