Q: Help! Fractured Tibia Post Surgery, Blue Leg!!

I had broken my tibia and the other small bone a few weeks ago when I fell down my stairs at home. They did surgery and put a rod into my leg and pins to hold it together. A week after the surgery I went back to the dr and he took xrays and checked, said everything looked good. Instead of giving me ahrd cast, they gave me a large boot with vlecro straps and said I could take it off from time to time to shower, elevate and ice it.
I have kept it on almost constantly, but take it off for showers. I have been noticing though, when I take it off and put my leg down to shower or sit for a minute, it instantly turns very dark blue purple and gets very tingly.
Im worried there may be vascular problems, but I dont know. If I had a regular cast on, I prob wouldnt see all the differant colors my leg is turning. Should I be freakign out? Im a 30 yr old ex model, who is very concerned with how this is going to look anyways, and if I were to lose my leg, I would be devastated! What should I do??
Help!
