Hello everyone,
i am new here and I need some answers regarding my husband.
From time to time when he sleeps I can feel him shaking (sometimes only his legs and sometimes whole body), but in the morning or if I would wake him up right away he wouldn't recall it.
He also snors, and i'm having a feeling that he's ketching his breath, sometimes he wakes himself up by it, but countinues sleeping soon after. He's 29 years old, and he has schizoaffective disorder since his teens, and a bit of social phobia but he's getting better with it. He is drinking medications that are very helpful and he didn't have any side effects from them as he's talking them for some time now...Maybe only feeling sleepy after seroquel (he's talking abilify and seroquel) but comparing to all possible side effects, sleeping effect is definitly not causing any serious problems.
I've been talking to him and sometimes he has nightmares that make him wake up with a scream. I was reading about night terrors but I don't know if it's that serious.
And also once when we went on a mountain, and during one nightsleep he woke up suddanly and as I was hugging him - hitted me with an elbow got up, walked a bit with opened eyes, then I was saying with the sweetest voice for him to came back to bed which he listened, but in the morning he didn't remeber anything!
Is anyone having similar problems?
Can anyone tell me what's going on? I would really like to know...Is it something to be concerned about?
I know it would be the best to ask specialists but I was hoping I would have some clue before doing that...
Thank you in advance!!!
Ivana
