I know I am not alone here. I finally admitted I have this problem Laughing
i think my old excuse of I just dont want to talk to anyone was getting old.
Thow I do not feel depressed anymore, I still am real anti-social due to the outside world could make me sick. Any ideas ladys?

Depressed
Hi again mary, you have lots of company ! I thought I was loosing it before I started taking zoloft. I finally found a doctor who took one look at me and said" you need to be on an antidepressant".I wanted to hug her!! Smile I like zoloft because my hubby had tried several different ones with bad side affects untill his doctor put him on zoloft. No bad side affects and it is not additive and it's working!!! Smile what more could you ask for?
If your not on anything, talk to your doctor. If not zoloft, then something else that will help you deal with things better.
I don't mingle with the outside world like I used to,but I don't lock myself in either. You just have to learn when and where its safe to go out in public. I avoid crowds,to many germs floating around in a tight space. Avoid family and friends who have colds and are sick. Just because we have lupus doesn't mean we have to stop living our lives, just re-arrange it to fit our needs! Smile I hope i've been some help to you.

Thanks sharon for your reply, yes you did help. I actually did let my doctor give me something. I cant remember the name but it is new. Still have the depression but man I am wound like a 8 day clock. I think the actual point of admitting the problem helped me start to feel better about it.

I, too, take zoloft. I had no idea just how depressed I was until I started the meds. There are a lot of things about this disease that can upset the natural order of things (so many i'm not even going to try to enumerate). I would suggest, for all of you, to discuss it with your healthcare provider. It is a personal choice and one that can best be made by someone who knows your situtation best.

For me, it made a huge difference!
Hugs,
