Q: No Question Just I Am Concerned

I am 19 years old, and I might be pregnant! I have had sex with only one guy and that did not happen until I was 18! That guy is now the guy I will be married to! He really wants kids, he is 22 (i use to say I never wanted them) but since I have been with him, I have felt that I wanted to have a family with him! I am having a few of the symptoms, also I do not have periods regularly at all maybe a few times a year thats it, but I am sort of scared to find out that I am pregnant by taking a pregnancy test! As I am a student, and I have always wanted to be financially ready for kids, if I was ever to have one!
And wanted to have a place of my own! That and I still care what my mom will think of me, she has always told me because everyone around me that was young having children and making there parents grandparents at young ages, that she hope I wouldn't make her a grandma at a young age (hehe I don't find her that young) (love giving her stuff about her age)

not really a question here but could use some advice!
That may help me get the courage to get a test!

Thanks

I think it would be in your best interest if you went ahead and got a test. This way if you are, you can be more aware of you and your baby's health needs. Also, if it turns out you aren't, then you won't have to worry about telling your mom.

Second, you are afraid your mom will think badly of you. She may be mad at first, but after time, she will realize that this is part of life. It more than likely will be hard for her at first, so be considerate of that.

Last, if it turns out you aren't pregnant, then the best thing you should probably do is get on the pill. This way, you won't be ashamed to have to tell your mom of an unexpected pregnancy, since you said you are scared of what she will think of you.

Just hang in there, and I hope you get the answer you want! But, go get a test asap!!!

Ok this sounds realllly health forum, but if you don't have the courage to go buy a test, how are you going to have the courage to have a baby, one you so want?

Thanks
Thank you!
Its not so much that I didn't have the courage to get the pregnancy. Test I just didn't know if I would necessarily be able to except the result, as if yes I would be sort of okay as I really love this guy and he is going to be my husband, and if no I sort of want to have a family with this guy. If that makes since!

Result is yes!

Not sure how to tell him nor my mom!
He will be happy, as he wants children mom might be a bit upset!

Oh, congrats! I am so happy for you! Just be calm and like I said before, you should expect your mom to get upset. Just keep your chin up, you will be fine!

Keep us posted :)

What is the possibility of me having twins?
As my grandmother is a twin, and my fiance is also a twin!
Just wondering if it is most likely that I will be having twins!

It's a good chance that you'll have twins, especially since it runs in your family and his aswell.

I'm only 17 and i'm 5 months pregnant. I told my mom I suspected it, and she went out and bought a test for me and we took it together. She was worried at first, but now she is a big part of the babies life already and it's not even born yet. You'd be really surprised sometimes of how you're parents take it.

Congrats!
