My wife has just been diagnosed with genital warts.

I have not had another sexual partner for 10 years. I know (from her reaction) my wife has not had one either.

I have never had any symptoms or problem with my penis and that general area.

How is it possible for this to have happened? Can you carry the virus for over 10 years?

I work away from home and rent a room in a flat. My flatmate is gay and a few months ago his partner was diagnosed with an std (i don't know which one it was).

We all share the same shower cubicle. Is it possible to contract the virus here (i would shower more or less immediately after they showered).

Very confused.
