burning sensation
Hi,
My mom had this problem a few years ago and came to find out that her washing detergent was the culpurt. Sweat in the area combined with her washing powder and created the reaction. She changed to Dreft washing powder and resolved the problem in short order even after being told she had shingles.
Best of luck and have a swell day.

Look Into It.
I used to work for a chiropractor. It could also be a ruptured disc right there. You may want to go in and have it looked at. The metal on a back straping bra for some reasons sets the spin out of allignment at that location. Look into it.

notalgia paresthetica...possibly
I have that same thing too...for the past 5 years but I get a major rash which has been biopsied 2 times with vastly different results. Underlying the rash is SEVERE muscle pain that only gets relief from very strong pain killers such as vidodin. Had more biopisies now I need to just wait for those results But there is no mention of muscle pain in the illness noted.

Has anyone found anything that will give relief from the burning pain
at the bra line? I often say it feels like my wings are broken. I work
at a computer for four or five hours and then cashier for 3 to 4 hours.
The pain is so intense at times tears pop out of my eyes. Give me
exercises or meds or anything to stop the pain.

All of you need to see a spine specialist, either an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in spines or a neurosurgeon that specializes in spines, for an evaluation.

You may or may not have spine issues, but the only way to determine what is going is to have the evaluation and see what the doctor says.

Good luck

I have the same burning feeling on the right side 2 inches below my scapula. It can be extremely painful to where my eyes are blurry. When I wear a bra or sports bra it seems to itch and burn more. It also is very hot to the touch. This is a constant pain and does not go away. When i put icy hot on it it burned so bad I couldnt stop crying. If anyone has any advice to ease pain, please help. Thank you

I am noticing the same thing right now. For the past few days my back has had the same pain as mentioned above.I also have a UTI but never had this type of back pain with it, and have had urine cultures and no sign of kidney infection. I have no fever, but just this off and on burning pressure in my upper back or around the bra line. It causes me to cry also because it hurts that bad. I took Motrin and got a little relief but not much at all. Any suggestions?

you might try a neuro muscle massage therapist. it could be trigger point muscle trouble. ......pete

Thanks Pete! Where would I get a neuro muscle massage? Is that separate from a regular massage parlor? I may google that for my area. I think I kinda' pin-pointed the problem...I am sleeping on a bad mattress also..we need a new one, like NOW! I had this back pain before and I think it is the mattress. My husband and I both slept horrible last nite..tossing and turning. Thank for the info!

hi psalms....
you could look under deep muscle massage or neuro muscular massage. the really push the muscle hard to try and get the knots out.
let me know if you need help finding one.
oh....forget the motrim. its not very effective. i understand some countries are banning it, try ibuprofen.
as for beds i gave up on them. my wife thinks im crazy but i hit the floor and it really helped me. ....pete

Well, yea it could be soaps. Any changes? Or it could be something new. Spider bites maybe? I was once bit and it took week befor it was found.
It could be cartlidge from ribhead. (any sneesing or coghing going on?(At night we tend to do this injury)
It might be a new allergy to metals if you wear an underwire.
Your bra might have aged and is causing what is VERY common, fricting from our bras that we should just go get a new bra. Try changing bras maybe?
Many of these things you will have to test.
Just remember the main rule,
injury ice for the first 24 hours then next day and for a while do ice then warm moist heat.
If not better in 10 days go see Dr.
Unless it is really bad then of course go sooner.
It sounds like, (I hope) you got lucky and have a simple problem.
It could be something worse but, I sure hope not. Just listen to your body and don't wait too long before seeking professional help if you feel that is required. I do hope it is nothing serious. Never know, it might be but we ???
Good Luck,
Keep me posted. I would like to find out what you discover on this.
Best of Luck,
bamm

Burning baack pain
I feel for all of you because I have much of the same pain you guys are describing. About 7 yrs ago I had a compression fracture in T8 and T9. It seemed to heal up just fine. Although a few yrs later my shoulder blades started burning. This continued to get worse, and now I have severe upper/mid back pain. It is sensitive to touch and burns constantly. I'm using an electrostatic shock unit which really helps the pain a lot but doesn't last very long. I have decided to take another Dr.'s opinion because it has gotten so painful that it's causing problems within my job.
I pray for you all because I know how painful it is. The worst problem is that my current doctor shrugs my pain off as my imagination. If anyone finds any new info on this please post...i will do the same.

Burning Middle Back Pain Under Bra Strap
For all of you ladies with burning under your bra strap you are not alone. I'm a Doctor of Chiropractic and I see patients every day that have thoracic spine and twisted ribs that cause the very symptoms you are describing . First of all find yourself a good Chiropractor. Secondly may I suggest that you get your self a new bra called the Unbelievabra by Shapeez. For eighteen plus years I have recommended to my patients that they wear a posture or sports bra to alleviate the stress that all of you are experiencing but that was before my wife found the Unbelivabra. The name says it all it supports like no other bra on the market and does it with no stress on the middle back and ribs were all of you are having your pain. On top of that it looks like a million bucks leaving no back fat or bra lines anywhere all of this and you look like you just lost 10 pounds too. It is truly an Unbelievable Bra. Tell them that Dr. Bret Staley sent you as they know me well as I suggest the Unbelivabra for all my family and patients.
