I had a mastoidectomy in attempt to reduce dizziness possibly related to mastoiditis revealed via ct scan about 9 weeks ago. I seemed to be improving for the first few weeks but now the dizziness seems to have returned with a vengence.

Ive just been for a mri which a nuerolgist ordered and it reveals:

"there is fluid within the left mastoid air cell with thickening of its cortical margins. These findings are consistent with the previous ct."

does anyone know if this means that my mastoiditis is still there? Did the operation not get all the infection? Maybe this is why im getting so much dizziness again? I've tried to call my ent but he's on holidays.

Please help!

Lisa
