Frequent Urination... But Not Really Posted: 09-04-05 17:29pm
Hi, i'm a 17yr old male and have had this
probably for a few years that i've
noticed. I just recently when to a
clinic and did a urine sample and a 24hr
urine sample, my doctor said there wasn't
anything wrong at all, my urine was
condensing properly and there was no sugar
etc..
So maybe there isn't anything wrong, but
maybe someone knows of something that can
help cause it's kind of annoying. It
seems that when I hang around the
apartment and when i'm not really doing
much I have to be every hour or two, but I
can work a 7hr shift and only use the
bathroom once, or I can go out fishing for
6hrs and won't need to pee untill I get
back home. I don't have to get up to
pee during the night untill usually an
hour or two before I would regularly get
up anyway, but I do have to get up while
i'm trying to fall asleep (it usually
takes me 45mins-1hr to fall asleep).
Anyone else like this? Or know of anyway
to train my bladder to stop annoying me or
any other helpful info would be much
appreciated.
Edit: I forgot to mention that when I go
to the bathroom, not a lot of urine comes
out either, and my doc said that my 24hr
sample was average, but on the low side of
average (as far as volume is concerned).

I have the same problem. First, I went
to my primary doctor. Doctor said tests
show nothing, but just little blood in
urine. Sugar/blood level is normal.
Sonogram showed normal organs. Doctor
said i’m too young to have this problem.
He gave up on me! I looked across
the room and saw the “urology
department.” I always wonder why my
primary doctor (internal medicine) did not
refer me to the urologist.
Now that I have new insurance coverage,
and I go directly to the urologist.
Exams show I have sensitive bladder and
enlarge prostate (non-cancerous). Go see
your urologist! I am now better.
Medication is available!

Oh ok, thank you. I'll do that when I
get a chance.
