I have recently been told that I have a cyst in one of my ovaries, which is causing me great pain! I am really worried about this as I have also been bleedin for 3 weeks now. I was told that this may cause trouble with concieving and I am absolutely terrified as I am only 17 years old!
Is this true? Will I might not be able to have kids?

Well I will tell you my story, I am 18 years old to start off. This week alone I have been to the er three times. The first day I went I was in the worst pain I have ever felt. I have been having stomach problems for two years. I have been told everything from ulcers, ibs, to gallbladder stones to just simply gas. Well this trip to the er my bladder was really full and I told the ultrasound tech I needed to pee. She started taking pics of my bladder and was suprised because how full it was. They ran several test. They didn't find the ruptured cyst, but the fluid from the tests they ran showed that I had a cyst that had ruptured. Well they gave me medicine and sent me home.

The very next day, I woke up in pain but didn't really think anything of it they told me I was going to be feeling pretty bad. Well I was told to drink water stay away from anything with caffine. So I was eating watermelon and drinking water. Well my stomach started swelling, like I was about 6 months pregnant. And I only weigh about 115 pounds at the most. I felt like I really needed to pee. So I went to the restroom and couldn't pee a drop.

So immediatly we called the er they said get here as fast as you can. So we did, they put a catherine in me. I filled the bag up within minutes. The doctor gave me a choice either stay at the hospital or I could go home with the catherine. Well I went home. I was doing okay feeling bad still but I knew that was going to happen.

Well yesterday the hospital was holdling a big fund raiser for a doctor's wife and she also is my boyfriends sister she has a rare blood disease. So all the doctors and most of the nurses and staff were at the local baseball field doing the fund raiser.

I slept most of the day but my boyfriend woke me up when he had came home from the fund raiser. I laid in bed in pain I started having sharp pains I had never felt before going threw my stomach ovariarys and back.I started crying. We knew that most of the er were at the baseball field, but I needed to get to the er quick. I have not had a bowel movement since the first trip to the er which was wednesday.

So I go in and they have this doctor that is forieng. He comes in asks whats wrong and everything and I tell him everything at that point I was almost out of it because how bad the pain was.

He did nothing whatsoever. But they did xrays of my stomach pelvic and ovaries. While I was getting the xrays done I asked the tech if I was to young to be having cyst. She told me no some girls can start as soon as they start there periods.

I also asked if I would be able to have kids she said most women who have cyst whether they rupture or not can have kids.

My advice is to go to the doctor or the er if your bleeding because that sounds very serious. I wasn't bleeding, but you really should go. They put me on birthcontrol and I am suppose to start taking it today. Tomorrow I go back to get the catheran taken out. To see if I can pee on my on, I hope I can because I am just as afraid as you are.

It is very serious though and you should be concerned. Please go get it checked out. I believe there are vitamins you can take if it hasn't ruptured.

I wish you luck and hang in there! I hope this helps you somewhat, the reason I found this site was to find some answers myself and if you look around under ovarian cyst you can find some answers to some questions you may have.

If you would like to send me a private message feel free to. I will answer any question for you.

Once again good luck!
