Night Sweats
Night sweats can occur during the initial hiv flu-like symptoms which occur usually 3-6 weeks after infection. They are drenching.
They can also occur in later stages of hiv, and as a side-effect to hiv drugs.

Common Symptom
For your information, night sweat is not a common symptom for a infection. For that matter, there is no common symptom to be specific. The infection varies from person to person, and so does the symptoms. Night sweats are common for anyone who's body resistance lowers down. It could be due to a infection or a side effect of medical treatments. Due to these aspects, night sweats could happen during the early stages of hiv infection during rapid multiplication of virus in the body, and the body trying to resist it.
