I know this may seem the wrong topic, but is it possible for you to experience moderate pain the day your period ends and possibly the day afterwards?

I’ve been complaining of moderately sharp lower back and leg (both) pain for weeks and now this into the bargain and I think it might all be linked. I’m starting to get really worried that it might be something serious. Needless to say the word “cancer” is right at the top of the list. Then again i’ve seen the doctor so many times (about six in the last two months – all for roughly the same reasons) i’m probably coming off as a total hypochondriac. Or maybe it’s all psychosomatic? (i think I mentioned this in another entry here).

Is it possible that I can ask for tests of some kind, if only to calm me down? Would I be given or does there have to be a real sign of something being wrong?

hi there,

it seems that you are not the only one who suffers with sciartica(sciatic nerves). It is very painful as it goes one. I would recommend an egg plaster treatment I would apply this treatment for a few days. It really works. It will take the swelling down in your lower back and consequently, it will relieve your pain. The next thing I would do, is to make an appointment with an osteopath or a chiro. In that order. I

hi, joe

i have seen your replys to all the back patients. Well, mine is incredibly complicated and one surgeon told me I needed 3 surgeries in one to possibly fix mine. But that is not why I am seeking info from you. I was in a car accident one time and they used this tape on me. It worked better than anything for my pains. Im sure it was the sudden impact kinda pains at that time, but im just wondering if you know anything about that. Or if you have used that for pain releave?? Why does it work?? And so well?? And if you know if it would work for chronic pain??

Scatica is now offically the worst word in my language. :( thanks, I think i'll try applying asap. I'm also curious about the tape. (sprry about the accident fatfamily).

One question - what exactly is the difference between chronic and acute pain? I'm not sure which one I have.

Chronic means will remain or has remained for 'permanent"--no cure or recovery in sight.

Acute means --right now condition--which could become chronic if not treated or cured.--not medical just my definition.

No, I believe it was just tape, but taping me up a certain way it caused relief to the tight muscles from the sudden impact freezing of our muscles. It worked so good. It was amazing. She said it was a new thing and my accident was 1 year ago last april.1 year 5 months

thanks for the reply I will keep your site in mind--think I saved it to favorites already.
