I am a single mum but I have found that when you mention that your a single mum to some people they have this stererotypical image of you having as many kids as you can possible give birth to and living off benefits.
It's nothing like that at all. Ok some people can be like that but I aren't and I know most of you aren't
i aren't working at the moment because my youngest is only 4 months old but as soon as he is a bit older I will be straight back at work. People think that just because I am raising my kids alone that I don't work and don't pay for things myself but this isn't true

I know this post was written a while ago but I just wanted to have my say! I am 23, now in a happy relationship with 2 beautiful children. It wasnt always like that tho! I fell pregnant with my 1st child at 18, me and my partner at the time split up when I was only 3mths pregnant. He wasnt a very nice man he was seeing other women behind my back and was very malniputive. After he left I never saw him again, not my choice but his, the amount of predudice I got for being pregnant and single at 18 was unbelievable, some people can be so narrow minded. People used to tell me that I was only with my ex to get pregnant and when I got what I wanted I just left him! It hurt alot but luckily for me I had a very supportive family around me. As I said I now have the man of my dreams and we are trying for baby no 3 so I guess dreams really can come true! Lol!
