Q: "just Put the Baby Up For Adoption"

Just thought i;'d bring this issue to the table:

i hear many pro-lifers saying that "you can always just put the baby up for adoption if you can't take care of it yourself"

so it's interesting, because where are all these pro-lifers who have adopted some of the unwanted babies that they didn't want aborted? Doesn';t seem there are many of them out there. At least, not any I have met.. It seems that christains and catholics who are generally against the right to an abortion, tend to have tons and tons of babies of there own, instead of adopting a child. They just continue to not only not help these orphaned children, but add to the over-population of this sickening planet.

I saw something on the news a while back. It was about abortion. It featured a woman, who not only was against the right to an abortion, but also against any form of birth control: condoms, the pill, etc.
She didn't have any adopted children herself, but instead had birthed about 7 of her own. It just sickens me. Why don't these pro-lifers stop adding to over-population and do some adopting instead?

Ok im against abortion fully... I cant even stand the thought of a woman doing that...I mean if its nessasery then yea of course but I mean if u wanna be dumb n open ya legs.. N not use nething or w/e then I think they deserve the right to take up for the responsibiltys....Im 17 n im 29 weeks pregnant...N belive me I wanna adopt these children that ahve been given up for adoption...But I also want to have my own children besides this one...Thers nothing in this world I would not do to protect my child and/or my adopted child...When I do adopt...I belive in adoption but again would never consider it(but thats me)my childs father was adopted n he left us... Ud think that some one who was adopted would think about there child first n not about themselfs but...Hey u never no any more but I def. Will end up adopting if they allow me to...Like I said I love kids to death...N thers nothing I wouldnt do for them... If I could id adopt them all...I have family members who are adopted so...Very well..

You see, I think social security is a noble programme and a very christian idea, it takes those of us who have money to help those who have not, if thats bad then, perhaps you should be made to live without a job and recieve no social security or better go and live in a country where social security does not exist.

Perhaps I should have termed it better, I wasnt suggesting that you be killed, I was showing your hypocracy, basicly you just proclaimed that you should be killed because you were adopted.

How about pro choice...Why dont you adopt? I did not realize that those responsible for adopting all the homeless children of the world were all pro life? You all talk a lot about what we should do, but I do not see you out there improving society.
Also, I dont see what is so wrong about wanting a child of your own flesh and blood... You can do both, adopt and have your own child.
Also, most of us prolifers are those paying for the welfare used by women. Most high income residents are usually republican, and doesn't that party typically vote pro life?

When in doubt abort?...Thats a great
and yeah...Thats me anti women...Thats why I always say in post that I respect peoples opinions and choices even if I may not agree with them as long as they can defend their opinions on the issue.
Unlike pcfome or sandyallen I can agree to disagree.
Adoption is a human issue, not a pro life or pro choice issue.

Do me a favor and read sandyallens last post..That is where I read the when in doubt abort. I couldnt think that one up. Being pro choice to me is me saying it is alright for a women to kill a fetus...To me that is not okay and I dont agree with the act of abortion..But like I said I will agree to disagree with women with whom have different views on the matter. My best friend is pro choice and while I dont agree.. I respect her right to an opinion.

I just feel that being pro-choice if a woman wants to abort, continue on with the pregnancy or put it up for adoption, it is her choice, she has her reasons and I am not here to judge her.

We're always talking about the negative side of adoption and fostering, what about great families who takei n children and do love them and care for them. When I was little I had a foster sister and she was included in everything! Family outings, photo sessions (x-mas, easter time) no one treated her any differently than the rest of us. Also my olser sister is my father's daughter yet my mom raised her from the time she was 7. My mom was 23 yrs old and I wasn't even born yet. Her and my mom still talk but none of us talk to my dad. My sis was never formally adopted because my mom still wanted my sis to see her mum (my sis calls them mom and mum) my sis just got back from seeing her mum in another province. My aunt was also adopted but in the family. My aunt got pregnant out of wedlock and my grandparents adopted and raised her. She grew up knowing her "sis" was her mom and now my lil cousins call her nana and know the whole story too. It was not a secret in our family. I also know a great lesbian couple that fostered 4 crack babies/kids that were siblings and they are all still together and it has been about 15 yrs. Their mother will not give up her rights so they can't adopt but they are still a family. Yes tehre are bad homes out there but there are also great ones!

I did not really mean, if in doubt abort seriously. What I seriously believe in is that it is a pregnant woman's choice, I have always said that and I really mean it, it was just an error and I apologize for it.

i was adopted and I would never place a child for adoption. I do not think it is right or fair to the child. If you can't raise your own child when you get knocked up, then you should abort, imo.

here you go msrosie you saying you reckon instaed of adoption they should abort,do you really believe you should of been aborted. You were given the chance at life so why now do you not think that other children should get that chance.?
