Ive been on orthotricyclen lo for about 5 yrs now. I never really got any side effects. I prefer the pill to anything else like the patch or the shot, even though the shot might be more convient, I like the pill. You usually get used to it after a long period of time taking it. I always take it when I wake up in the morning. It also works pretty damn well, aint got prego yet!! :)

Well thanks for the info. I've done a little more research on it and i've read that birth control can lower your sex drive and make you fat or make it hard to diet what do you think??

My doctor told me that birth control actually increases your sex drive, because you now do not have a whole lot of fear about pregnancy, so you enjoy it more. Also, gaining weight is a myth. I read that it is about equal to the number of people who actually lose weight while on the pill. I quit taking ortho novum for four months, and actually gained weight. The birth control kind of supresses my appetite a little, so maybe it is different with different people. The only thing that made me hate my last pill was the major mood changes. I was depressed and hated the world. I am not on my third day of ortho tri cyclen lo, and I really like it so far, nothing weird yet!! Hope this helped.. :)

I'm on ortho lo, and I feel the same way I felt when I wasn't on it. I don't know if it increases your sex drive, but it does definately releive the worry of getting pregnant; thus indeedy you want to do it more often because you know you're safe!

Fourth week is green, and that is when you'll start, some time in that week.

Okay what if I started in the blue pills on my third week and it lasted like a week and a half instead of like the 4-5 days

What lasted more than a week, the blue pills? There are 14 pills that are blue, 7 are light blue and 7 are dark blue. None of the pill sets last for 4 or 5 days, they are all 7 days long.
