Three days ago, I had the unpleasant
experience of finding a large growth/lump
between my genitals and anus, inspection
using a mirror showed a number of heads on
the growth itself, I popped these heads
and a bit of very dark/blackish blood came
out with a little bit of white pus,
similiar to a pimple.
I applied hydrogen peroxide, then
neosporin and a pimple cream, put a
sterile bandage over it, and basically
took it easy sitting for the rest of the
day. I changed/reapplied the dressing
twice per day up till now.
The supposed carbuncle seems to have
retreated beneath the skin now, heads are
no longer visible and the amount outside
the skin is relatively small, however,
beneath the skin a approximately grape
sized growth has appeared. It is not
painful, and will not "pop" it really
doesn't bother me physically, but I can't
help but think it isn't normal.
I have always had very little acne, have
not recently tried any new products in the
area, or anything of that sort. I am a
20 yr old male, any suggestions? Will it
likely clear up on its own? Or should I
go into the doctor to have this very
unpleasant area inspected? Thanks
