Q: Help!!

I was on the birth control pill ortho novum march, april, and may of 2005. I started it in march and had my period for 23 days straight. I called the Dr. And they said it was normal for the first time. The pill made me very bipolar, and I was totally not myself. So, I quit taking it in may. I had a period for may, before I stopped taking it. In june, I had a period, and was sexually active. I did not have a period in july or august. Now, at the end of august I am having cramps, and after taking a bath, I stood up and a white discharge, about 3 or 4 inches in diameter fell out of me. Could this have been a miscarriage? Any help for my question will be greatly appreciated!! Thank you..

If it was white, then it was secretions from the walls of your vagina... A misscarriage would have seemed like a very heavy period, because your body would be shedding the lining of the uterus just like it does during a period.

The white discharge may be a sign you are pregnant, however. I would definately go get checked! The chances of you being pregnant, if you wern't on any kind of bc or using condoms is high.

But...
Do you think that the reason I have not had a period in two, going on three months, is because I stopped taking the birth control pill? I did not finish the pack that I had started, and was only on it like 2 1/2 months. I stopped taking it because of the mood changes, I think it had too many hormones in it for my body. I am planning to get back on the pill, just a different kind, when I start my period and get back to normal. If I started the pill before I start my period, like on a sunday start, then would I get back on a regular schedule? I am going to make a dr's appointment, but I was just wondering if I should wait until I start, or just tell them what I have said here. Thanks!!

You should probably tell them what you've said here, that way the can give you more information about your period in relation to the birth control.

After my first period ever, I didn't have another one for like, 5 months!

I finally started my period, but now I miss the good days when I didnt have it! Hahaha I went to the doctor yesterday and got started on ortho tri cyclen lo, which is probably what I need because of the moodiness with the last pill. So, i'm excited again! Haha
