Q: Rash During And After Pregnancy

At the beginning of my 9th month I started getting a rash. I later got toxemia and had a c-section. After the birth, my rash spread throughout my whole body. It looks like big blister like blotches and itches like hell. I saw a skin doctor that said that it was a reaction to the anastasia - but I don't believe it because the rash started before I had the baby. It is already 2 weeks after the baby and I still go crazy from the itching... Is there anyone that can give me advice?

Rash
During my 9th month I got a rash all over my body except for my face, hands and feet, it was uncontrollably itcy and uncomfortable and my doctor's didn't know what it was so my husband did some research on the computer and there is a pregnancy rash called puppps or pupps not sure of the spelling. One of my doctor's knew about it and the only cure was to give birth and then it will go away within a few weeks if not immediately. I tried band aid itch spray gel which helped a little bit and some cream but I forget what it is called which helped a little but unfortunately nothing helped enough.

Look up on the internet a rash called "puppps or pupps" and see what they recommend to give you some relief until it goes away.

I mean I don't know if that is what you have or not but it sounds similar to mine.

Extremely eHealthy
My kids get really severe rashes from allergies, including alergies to most sensitve skin stuff!! They use advantan cream (that's what it's called in australia, don't know about there? But you could check on the internet) the other thing that works wonders for them is phenergan (it's a tablet comes in 25mg & you can take up to 3 at night) it's am anti-histamine (again you would have to check the name in the us.

The active ingredients are: in advantan cream (which you only need a tiny bit of) methylprednisolone aceponate 1mg & benzyl alcohol 10mg
: in phenergan, promethazine hydrochloride bp.

Preg Rash--me Too.
Hi, I was so miserable with my puppp rash and I tried to get rid of it, nothing worked. I did not want to use a steroid cream. Someone told me to try a product called Pregnancy Rash Relief by Kopec Naturals. It worked so fast--could not believe it. I was so happy I could have cried. Its worth a try for sure. Smile
