Stomach Inflammation Caused By H.pylori Infection. Posted: 08-27-05 12:12pm
Ive had stomach pains for about a month
now. I was tested positive for h.Pylori
and was put on a course to eradicate it.
I am now on another course that is 2 weeks
long. I still have burning in my stomach
and a dull pain in the front and back of
my stomach. I know that h.Pylori causes
gastritis but i'm wondering once the
bacteria is killed then how long does it
take until the inflammation goes? I have
a feeling I might still have it because I
still have the symptoms, but a doctor told
me it's probably my stomach still being
inflamed and to take an acid blocker for a
month after i've completed my second
course. Can anyone tell me what happened
with them, if they were infected with
h.Pylori and had its symptoms?

Hi Posted: 09-13-05 16:04pm
Hi I just found out yesterday I have
h/pylori, and I get pains right in the
middle just below my rib cage, the pain
would come and go. Well, I went in for a
scope on my throat cause I have acid
reflux and the Dr. Found these lumps in
my stomache, and yesterday told me it was
that. I get a really bad tightness in my
throat muscles and they say that this
might cause that too. I have lots of
trouble swallowing any kind of food or
pills. So they put me on 3 antibotic's
which I have to crush 1 and put another in
apple sauce and the third is liquid but
the pills make me really sick to my
stomache, I wasnt this bad before and so
tired. Did this happen to you? There are
so many sites that say differant things
from its could be contaigous to causing
cancer. Scares me. Did they do another
scope on you to see if it is gone? I just
started my pills today and hope that they
do the job the first time. Good luck and
email me if you want: babyc
