Do Breast Return to Normal After Breastfeeding?

Sorry, I wasnt sure where to post this.

I hope to be able to breastfeed , that is if and when I get pregnant :d
but my question is this. Do your breast return to their normal pre pregnancy state and if so how long does that normally take..

Again sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum..
Thanks,

Are they grown ver much bigger ?
I breastfeed my two little girls, and did my olderone before. My breast got bigger but as I have not stopped bf by now have no idea if they go back later. But I wouldn´t mind if they saty big as they are, most peoples find them beautiful and give me compliments for them. I think you should accept your beauty as given by nature.

Hi,
it is natures way to modify the breast tissue for feeding the baby by building up and dilatation of the alveolar tissue present in the breast. This is accompanied by increase in the fat content of the breast. Once the breast feeding's natural time ends, the alveoli shrink again but not much of the breast fat is lost... Plus the new alveoli that were formed for the preparation of the feeding do not get atrophied... Thus the size will reduce but not to the pre-pregnancy/pre-lactation level..

Stay happy
regards,
doctor
