Im 51 yrs old. Im terrified of dentist. Because of a bad exp. I had with one when I was 5 yrs old. Basically I wouldnt let the dentise pull my tooth. He sent me to a oral sugeron. Who climed on top of me to hold me down while his nurse strapped my arms and legs down. Then they gave me chlorphorm to knock me out. The oral sugeron pull all my molars. About 10 pm that nite, my mouth started to hemorage. And I had to get rushed to the hospital.
Now 46 yrs later. I have the worst teeth in the world. 3 that need to be pulled. One that every once in awhile will get abcessed. I go to the local hospital when that happens.
Im just getting tired of my teeth hurting all the time. I wish they would just fall out and get it over with.
Could anyone please give me any help or infomation. That might help me?
Ive been looking into a natural (herb) type of liquid that you put on the affected tooth or teeth that will help with the infections.

Go to the Dentist
You can share your concerns with you dentist. If your that scared they can put you to sleep. Whatever the pain, it will all be worth it. Lack of dental care can have an impact on your overall health. I think everyone hates to go to the dentist. Rest assure, you will be all right. Take care and make that appoinment.

Salt water kills infection, but the bacteria can cause problems with your heart. There have been studies that link tooth decay with heart disease. Also, having continuous dental infections can weaken your immune system and make you suseptible to all kinds of illnesses. It is hard on your body to continually fight infection. That being said, I am so sorry about your experience with that horrible surgeon. I can certainly see how that was traumatic for you and why you have a fear of dentists. But, all dentists are not created equal. Ask around. People will tell you if they have a good dentist who doesn't hurt them. Also, tell the selected dentist's staff of your fear. There is such a thing as a painless dentist, you just have to ask his/her patients. I urge you to seek out that caring doctor and have him make a dental plan for you. You only get one set of teeth you use for the better part of your life, and it's hard to eat steak without them. Even if you end up getting dentures, it would be easier on you and your health to have them extracted rather than suffer them out, one at a time. I know you can do this because you will be proud of yourself when you do and you will be free of painful toothaches and harmful infections. Now, go rinse with salt water and begin your search and keep us posted. You won't regret it.
