A response to Shadowwalker164
Suggesting someone change their friends is shallow and despicable. What if you are friends with someone your whole life and use drugs at one point? Dump your life long friend? NO! This is just another US AND THEM MYTH. I quite certain drugs and still hang out with people doing those drugs. It is possible and if you love your friends enough, you can enjoy their company and even help them quite. As for the hell joke analogy----give me a break. Drug addiction is NOT A MORAL ISSUE. It is a physiological, psychological, and emotional affliction and using hell imagery and the outdated image of Satan is intellectually lazy.

treatment
I really found all of these posts really helpful.so many sights become preachy wo offering any help

there was one issue that I needed to respond to!
I have been in and out of NA AND AA for two yrs...had it not been for there support I would be dead right now...yes they can seem intolerant...but like all of aa says take what u likke and leave the rest at the door. any really great group of people that kniw what am going throug and can offer how they got better is pretty kewl to me.
You definitely can be agnostic in fact there is a whole chaptet in the big bk that addresses it...also the only concept u need to get is that u have a higher power....a higher power could be a room of drunks just as long as they have a day longer of sobriety.
I also used to be scared of aa and na....I'm not even a drinker but aa is great as well...a drink is a drug so u can be a drug user and go to aa.
just thought I'd share my opinion since everyone is entitled to theirs. jus remember until you've been to several different meetings u can't say they all suck.
I haven't had perfect sobriety but everytime I relasp and f k up they ar still there to support me!
thanks for listening!
ps my nose kills that's why I'm here...only three days back snorting and it burns as hell...any suggestions?

Please Help
I am in a situation nearly identical to Nose Cocaine and have therefore compiled a list of others descriptions in order to create a perfect visual image as to my problem. I need some advice as to what is the best way to take care of and treat this problem. I am only 18 and can not tell my parents and therefore have no access to a medical doctor fearing I will be kicked out and cut off.
I keep forming reoccurring giant scabs the shape of the hole including the hole and opening shape. What is the best thing to do in this situation let it be, or blow it out. Is it better to remove with tweezers or to blow it out. If it is better to leave it, how long should I keep it for, and when(if suggested) would I remove it? There is a continous burning pain that can only be dulled by another line till I am eventually knocked out by the seagull only to wake up and repeat.I am seeking help to best care for my problem. Thank You

PLEASE SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE AS WELL AS YOUR STORIES AND PRAYERS
“i've been a heavy cocaine snorter for about 10 months (quit for 3 months, then just caved in today) and my septum is perforated and deviated due to it. The hole goes completely side to side, approximately half an inch high.

I only discovered the actual hole about a week ago. To say it was an eye opener is speaking mildly. Sticking a tissue through the hole gave me a very dissatisfying aknowledgement of a problem that I somehow knew would eventually happen.
My question is ... The last week was obviously painful both physically and emotionally ... I actually felt a lot better yesterday when the "crusting" or scab that was trying to heal blew thru. What problems (or relief) do I look forward to ... Or am I really f*&ked up .... Regardless of my addiction?
More info ... I'd say the hole is about an 1/8" or a little bit bigger in diameter. It seems to be at the bottom part of my nasal passage and other than some natural discharge ... No blood ...

For a while now, when I take some it goes straight to the back of my throat (when using either nostrils) and am wondering if this will ever heal. I had a month and a half off and when I started again, but after about.. hmm... 5 lines, it just started to go straight to the back of my throat once again.

the nose hole
I was on cocaine for at least 2 years. Thank God I've been clean for the past 5 years. I'm 25 now and I've had a hole in my septum and it shows no signs of going away. I hate it, it whistles when I breath, but I'm to embarassed to go to the doctor for it. As for quitting coke, I'm with "bhr1" I WOULD NOT suggest NA it always left me craving the drugs more when I left the meetings. Beleive it or not Alcoholics anonymous helped me and the group did not just consist of alcoholics. There were actually people like me in the group. Good Luck with everything!

tjdbballstar10 write me, I really want to talk to you I think our stories are similar and I can help. Although I'm 25 now and have been clean of coke for 5 years I was 18 when I started my drug binge.
Hope to hear from you!
