Q: How to Go Off Yasmin And Switch to Another Pill?

I want to go off yasmin mainly due to the pigmentation its caused on my face, i've been on it about 3 years. However I have heard some stories about withdrawl side effects that are not good, water retention, etc. My question is, should I go off it and detox then try a new pill? Or, make a direct switch to another pill?

I am getting married in 9 months and I want to be "normal" when that happens!

Thanks.

I made a direct switch to a new pill. After my placebo pills with yasmin I just started in with the new pills. Never had a problem.

Once your pack of yasmin is done, start the new pills on the day you would normally start a new pack of yasmin. You shouldn't have any problems.

I didn't like yasmin either, so I switched to ortho tri-cyclen lo. This is my 2nd month on it and so far I really like it.

Thanks, my main concern is not gaining weight on a new pill, I didn't on yasmin. I didnt lose either, though.
