I'm 38 weeks along and I have had a constant pain in my lower back. My question is; can I use a heating pad on my back? I'm going crazy with this pain and I need some relief. Somebody please give me some hints.

Are you in labor??? Some times we only feel it in the back??!!

Can you feel your uterus getting tight??

I don't think i'm in labor, my water hasn't broke. I have already been in the er twice now in the last 2 weeks but they sent me home and told me not to worry until water breaks and I have pains every 5 minutes.
