Q: Could This Be Syphillis?

About a week or two ago I got one of those little sores in my mouth; a canker I think they're called. I used to get them when I was a lot younger, so I disgregarded it until recently.
A few days ago I noticed something in the corners of my lips. The skin there is puffing up slightly, like it's dead skin, but it's not going away. And several of the taste-bud things on the front areas of my tongue seem to have swollen so they're white and sore.
I know, it probably sounds like nothing, something stupid, and i'm probably over-reacting.
Mouthwash hasn't done a thing. It seems to only be getting worse, slowly.
There was actually some weird sore thing close to my clit, and it bled a little. I woke up itching it, though I hadn't noticed it before.
About two months ago I had "made-out" with someone, twice, within a two week time frame. And before that, I haven't done anything sexual in at least 2 years.
I'm planning on going to the doctors tomorrow. I'm just nervous that i'm going to find out that it's either nothing, and there's nothing they can do about it, or it's this std. And if it is this std, i'm afraid of what my parents will think of me. I've always been a good kid, i've never done anything they should feel ashamed of.
I'm not sure what my question is exactly. I'm just looking to see if anyone might be able to provide some insight as to what this could be. It's really bugging me, and I start college in just a few days. How fast can this be cured? Is it even something worth worry about?

No!
Your symptoms are not consistant with syphilis, primary or secondary. You did not indicate if you had unprotected sex. Kissing would only lead to possibly catching other known viruses that are not life threatening.

You should simply get a full std screening to rule things out. I'm sure you will find that you are all clear and may have been fightning a minor virus. Don't try to figure it out yourself or search for symptoms.

Let us know of your great results!

Hey, thanks. Yeah I was just over-reacting I guess, getting nervous. It was just a yeast infection haha
