:?: can anyone give me a solution as to how to dispose of my epi-pens when they expire? My local pharmacy and my primary care physician refuse to help. Someone told me that I could take them to the hospital or blood lab, but they charge for this service. I want to do the responsible thing and not just throw them out. I have quite a collection now, which I think is dangerous because although I have no children, I could have a reaction and someone like my husband could panic and not find my "good" epi-pen in time and inject me with a bad one (old one) by mistake. I have shown him where all of my good ones are kept, but again I can't be sure he'll be thinking clearly at that moment, as each time I go into another anaphylatic shock episode there is less and less time before I become incoherent and other such symptoms that are much more graphic.
