I'm 18 year old female, and so far only one of my wisdom teeth have started to poke through. However every time I go to the dentist, they take a new x-ray, an it doesnt seem to show and of the other beginning to poke through at all. The dentist has told me numerous times that my mouth is too small, and there will be no room for the teeth. He keeps referring me to a specialist to get a consultation. When I went to the dentist today he said that they arent coming in now onlyb ecause there is no room. Is that even possible? I thought they would come in either way, whether there is room or not. Every night iwear a retainer to prevent my teeth from shifting at all. My mum has her wisdom teeth, and they all fit in her mouth. She got them pretty late as well. I don't even know what my dentist talks about because I clearly have enough room at the back of my mouth. So my question is should I just go and get them taken out, or should I atleast wait until they come in, and then make a decision.

You need to have them taken out. If you dont have enough room they will grow sideways against your other teeth causing them to crowd. If you dont have them taken out they can cause damage and pain.
